A clear question, not an empty promise

Each article helps a reader understand a specific decision or process. We explain alternatives, relevant context and useful next steps. Where an answer depends on individual circumstances or current requirements, the guide identifies the information needed to take the question further.

Evidence and sources

We prefer primary public authorities and original technical documentation for claims about safety, health, regulations and product limitations. Links identify information sources, not sponsorships. Time-sensitive conditions should be checked with the responsible organisation before a decision is made.

Experience and comparison

Product comparisons use published specifications, original instructions and clearly stated criteria. We explain which properties matter for an intended task and distinguish documented facts from considerations that depend on the individual user. Source links help readers return to the original information.

Corrections and discussion

Send the article address, the relevant statement and a checkable source when reporting a possible error. Comments are reviewed for relevance, privacy and unlawful content before publication. Thoughtful disagreement is welcome; impersonation and the publication of sensitive personal information are not.
